#245 Fullscreen command Doesn't work with gtk builds of emacs, also gnome-terminal

Reported by: draxil Assigned to: pekdon

Description

If you use the fullscreen command on Gtk builds of emacs (tested on emacs 22 and emacs23) then the window becomes fullscreen for a second and then returns to it's original state.

This same behaviour can been seen with gnome-terminal.

At time of writing this seems to happen in both 0.1.11 and git head.

If you disable fullscreen detect this shouldn't happen, I've created a patch and sent it to IOError for pushing.

Did a quick check with gnome-terminal and right after the set of fullscreen has been sent, another message is sent for unsetting the state.
