P.S. I meant in Awesome they are tied to the only one workspace, and my idea is to tie them to multiple desks, whew, hope everything is clear, sorry for my English
08:57:23Just wanted to propose one thing and found this task, I think it is very related. Imagine that each window has a set of tags/labels (not like awesome wm, they are tied to workspaces there), by default these tags are "Workspace 1", "Workspace 2", etc. It is like a photoalbum management software. One user can add "Workspace 1" and "Workspace 2" tags to the same window, and it is like sticky property but more general (not only one or every workspace). And then an advanced user can add tags like "music","term","chat", and so on, then he can tie the tagset to a workspace (at runtime and/or in config), i.e. workspace1=chat+web, workspace4=music+term+chat, etc. And most wanted feature is probably tagging using already existing autoproperties. Not only for applying a tag per WM_CLASS, but also applying a *property per tag*, and also autogrouping per tag (optional). What do you think, guys? :)
